The last thing you want to think about when following a mountain track through beautiful scenery is an uncomfortable backpack. Cue the Hydra 38. From the carrying system to quick-drying materials and easy-access pockets, this backpack has been built for comfort. Let's start with the Dyno Lift System; it features self-equalising and adjustable load lifters allowing the pack to move with you. This makes the pack feel a lot lighter - you'll have a real spring in your step even if you fully load its 38 litres. Then there's the trampoline mesh back panel that creates a space between your back and the pack to allow for cooling airflow. It also features FlashDry technology, which actively works to pull moisture from your skin and push it out from the fabric. The Hydra 38 gets its name from its ability to make carrying water easy. It has a hydration sleeve and two stretch side pockets for water bottles, which you can reach without removing your backpack or having the flexibility of a contortionist. Aside from these pockets, there's a front stash pocket ideal for storing your waterproofs for quick changes in changeable weather. Then there are two pockets on the hip belt and a pocket in the top lid. In fact, there are more than six pockets on this pack, which also has compression straps and gear loops as well as a chest strap with a safety whistle. And finally, another safety feature that's also really handy, is the reflective webbing. You'll be caught in head torch beams during early starts or late finishes.
